News archiveTwo video's of the Eindhoven worldcup can be found on the web. The highlights of the finals by ifsc.tv and a video report by German coach Udo Neumann. Our photographer Jorg Kemner made some beautiful pictures this year, but he isn't the only one. Via mail and our facebook page lots of pictures come our way. Here's an overview of what you can find on the world wide web at this moment. Kilian Fischhuber from Austria and Akiyo Noguchi from Japan have won the gold medals at the IFSC World Cup Boulder Eindhoven 2011. Noguchi topped out all four womens final boulders in six attempts, two attempts less then the number two, Anna Stöhr from Austria. Melissa Lenevé from France took third place by climbing three of the final problems in 6 attempts. Womens qualifications start at 9:00 and end at 13:20. The mens qualification start at 14:45 and end at 18:45. In less then 18 hours the routsetting of the worldcup will start. But first... we need a wall. The wall will be build this night, after the weekly market is gone, and will be finished in the morning. A team of NKBV and Mountain Network employees, together with a group of volunteers won't get any sleep tonight. This year, the following DJ's will play during the qualifications at the boulder worldcup in Eindhoven. The musical kick-off of the event will be provided by the duo DJ Wout and DJ Custom from Tilburg. DJ Pofzak from Rotterdam is next. He won the DJ contest at the Dust boulderevent in Monk bouldergym two years in a row. Who wants to climb doesn't only need to be strong, you also have to be smart. So maybe it's not a coincident that the worldcup takes part in not only the smartest region of the Netherlands, but in the smartest region of the world! Last year the boulder problems of the worldcup in Eindhoven were mentioned a lot in Udo Neumanns video as the best of the 2010 season. We would like to continue this for 2011! The IFSC is sending international ifsc routesetter Jamie Cassidy to Eindhoven. Jamie will be assisted by the English setters Jason Pickles and Andy Long. All registered athletes and coaches will be offered FREE TRAINING at Monk from Monday 13 June until Friday 24 June 2011 during opening hours. You don’t need to book in advance, but please register (preferably as a team) at the bar when you arrive at Monk.
The registration for the World Cup boulder run very well. There have already signed in 43 athletes from 10 different countries. Especially the countries Slovakia, Lithuania and Braziliie are worth to mention! French routesetter Tondé Katiyo is one of the four international routesetter who will set the problems of the world Cup. Tondé also delivered problems for the World Cups of 2009 and 2010 which were fantastic creations. Less then 80 days to go until the IFSC World Cup Boulder Eindhoven 2011. On this website we will keep you up to date about all things happening before and during this event. Keep an eye on worldcupboulder.nl!
